Yes, even the lower-end apartments aren't cheap by any means, but the disparity in incomes is still enough to maintain a good mix of people at different stages in their lives. There is a real community feel to the neighborhood, and the mix of single-family homes, duplex/semi-detached homes, condos, and apartments gives the neighborhood a refreshing diversity. There were almost always neighbors out doing the same. I would take my dog out for walks in the park almost every night after dark, and never once felt concerned for my safety.
